Acumatica's manufacturing software is aimed at production, engineering, planning, sales and finance teams in one system1. Its pricing model, unlimited users with cost based mainly on the applications implemented, is its most distinctive commercial feature2.
Best for: Growing mixed-mode manufacturers that want MRP, finite scheduling, a product configurator and shop-floor collection without paying per user.
Not the right fit for: Buyers who need a published price list before the first call.
What it covers
Bills of materials, routings, recipes and formulas, managed with engineering change control; MRP with time-phased recommendations; advanced planning and scheduling with finite and infinite capacity; estimating; a product configurator; a shop-floor kiosk for operators; and manufacturing data collection1. Its financial suite includes the general ledger, payables, receivables, cash management, multi-entity accounting and currency management3.
AI features include an AI assistant that answers questions such as which orders are trending late, AI document recognition for supplier invoices, anomaly detection and cross-sell suggestions13.

Strengths and limits
Strengths
- Pricing is not per seat: Acumatica charges mainly by the applications used and the resources consumed, with unlimited users.
- A complete production stack for a mid-sized plant: BOMs, routings, MRP, finite scheduling, estimating and a configurator.
- A shop-floor kiosk and data collection for operators, plus AI-assisted AP invoice capture and an AI assistant.
Limits
- No dollar prices are published; a pricing review is required.
- A dedicated quality module is not listed on its manufacturing page.
- Its AI features are assistants and document capture rather than agents that handle supplier or customer correspondence.
Choose another option if: You run a small job shop that mainly needs quoting and job costing, or you want a published per-user price.
Pricing
Not published in dollars. Unlimited users; cost depends mainly on the applications implemented.
Questions to ask Acumatica
- What would our applications and resource level cost over five years?
- Which partner has implemented our mode of production, and can we call the customer?
- Which quality processes run natively, and which need a marketplace add-on?
- What does the AI assistant do on its own, and what does it only suggest?
